Holiday Madness Marathon
January 6, 2023
At McNaughten Pointe, the holiday season is always full of joy, Christmas cheer, parties and themed days! Our Christmas celebration was packed with loads of fun for our residents and staff members to enjoy.
Our celebrations started with a resident and family Christmas social with cookies and cocoa. Residents were able to invite their family and friends to join them for a night of sweet treats, time together and live music by the Positive Energy band. Still buzzing from the party, we headed into the following week for spirit week. For a few years we have used spirit week as a segway into our staff Christmas party. Each day of this week, a staff member who participates in the themed days will receive a ticket for more chances to win in the raffle at the party. It's been a success, and people enjoy being able to dress down or add some type of accessory to their everyday uniform.

On the 22nd, we kicked off our Holiday Madness Marathon! It started with a resident concert featuring one of our talented men, Michael P., who has an amazing voice. He graced us with some popular Christmas tunes as residents and staff cheered him on. Then we had our traditional Santa visits with Bob Martin, where he handed out Christmas gifts to all the residents. Bob has been coming to our facility for the past 15 years to pass out presents and has truly become part of the McNaughten Family!
Finally, we ended the Holiday Madness Marathon by giving thanks to our staff at their holiday party. The party consisted of prizes, music, laughs and great food catered by Olive Garden. Mike knows how to feed the people. Staff members were allowed to invite family and friends as well to join in on the fun. We are so grateful and blessed to work in a facility with loving, caring and fun-hearted staff members.
Even though the Christmas season is always busy, it's nice to slow things down and remind ourselves to enjoy the little things, like each other's company. Even through the craziness of the holidays, we enjoyed spending quality time with our staff members, residents and their families. We hope you enjoyed your holiday as much as all of us at McNaughten Pointe!
