Therapy Success Story

McNaughten Pointe loves to celebrate our residents' progress in our therapy program. Recently, we had the pleasure of recognizing a story of success and perseverance. Help us celebrate and say goodbye to Melvin!



When Melvin first arrived at McNaughten Pointe in March of 2023, he was newly off a ventilator and still had a tracheostomy. After working hard with our Therapy Team, Melvin was able to get his trach taken out. As Melvin continued to work with therapy and gain strength, our team and his family got more excited and happy for him. Ever since arriving at our skilled nursing facility, Melvin and his family knew he was going to be able to go home.



Melvin has finally gotten strong enough to return home with his roommate. We'd like to give a special shoutout to his sister, who visited him every single day. He truly had such a great support system! Congratulations, Melvin! Here is to never giving up!
